As a result of planting a legacy “seed” during the Leadership Academy, the Quad City Leadership Charitable Fund is about to bloom.  Thus, the groundwork for a fund designated for projects that enhance the quality of life in the Quad Cities Area was laid.  A small group has been meeting to lay the groundwork.  The established mission is:

“The Quad Cities Leadership Charitable fund will work to improve life in the Quad Cities by eliminating barriers and providing access.”

To accomplish this mission, the group is establishing an endowment for financial grants to fund projects and programs.  Two ways have been established to do fund-raising for the Fund.  First, solicit donations from past Leadership Graduates of all three chambers and the Chamber Federation programs.  Secondly, is to have an event which is tentatively scheduled for September 27, 2007.
